Congrats to our new PhD Ronnie Araneda for the defense of his International PhD thesis entitled «Development and evaluation of methodologies for monitoring droughts and their impacts on agriculture in data-scarce regions«. This PhD thesis developed with the financial support of the Spanish Regional Government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia) has resulted in 4 publications in top impact factor journals as well as several book chapters, conference participation, etc. Also congrats to his supervisors Prof. Jerónimo Puertas and Prof. María Bermúdez. The panel of evaluation was chaired by Prof. Enrique Peña, Prof. Diego Fernández and Prof. Johanna Orellana.
