The GEAMA researcher Manuel Regueiro Picallo reached the finalist position in the Paul Harremoës Award for the communication ‘Flow rate influence on sediment depth estimation in sewers using temperature sensors’ at the 16th International Conference on Urban Drainage, held in Delft (The Netherlands) from 9 to 14 June 2024. This award highlights the best scientific-technical communications among people under 35 years of age during the International Conference on Urban Drainage. The award was developed in three phases; a first phase in which the jury chose a selection of papers based on the abstract sent to the conference, the second phase consisted of preparing a research paper from which the jury selected the three finalist papers for the award; and the last phase, in a face-to-face format, consisted of the presentation in a special session within the conference with questions and evaluations from the jury.
