Experimental facilities
This laboratory is aimed at teaching but has also been used on numerous occasions for basic and applied research.
The hydraulic circuit of the laboratory can carry a maximum of 70L/s in the 15 x 0.5 x 0.5 meters canal. The incline of the canal is variable, between 2.5% and -0.5%.
The laboratory has carried out tests on the transport of sediments over erosionable beds, relief structures, tests on the erosion of cockle beds, entry works to mini power-stations ....
Test canal of the Hydraulics Laboratory of Civil Engineering
Analysis of the forces on a resting cockle, physical model study of the entry chamber to the turbine of a small power station.
The laboratory also has a physical model of a compacted concrete stepped outlet on which many experiments have taken place.
