Hydrochemistry and isotope geochemistry
Physical modelling is a fundamental tool in hydraulics. Some complex problems may only be tackled through their study on a reduced scale, and the actual instrumentation, combined with efficient study of the data gives rise to highly accurate and productive results.
Physical modelling requires quality and up to date experimental facilities. The field of Hydraulic Engineering of the GEAMA boasts some of the leading Spanish and European facilities, and has at its disposal, in the ETS de Ingenieros de Caminos and in the CITEEC, the latest in instrumental technology, with two laboratories of different size and orientation. There also exists a wealth of experience in research and transfer of technology, and an excellent coordination with the most prestigious hydraulic laboratories in Spain, through a Hydraulic Laboratory Network, of which our laboratory forms part of as a founding member.
