In early February, Co-UDlabs closed its 3rd call for its Transnational Access programme. In the two years since its inception, the TA programme has accepted 31 proposals involving 227 facility users from 122 institutions from 43 countries.
Yesterday, with a twist of the water-controller knob, Amir Mohammad Sheikh Asadi made it rain in CITEEC – Research & Innovation Centre on Civil Engineering and Building’s STREET facility at Universidade da Coruña, officially inaugurating the second round of #Transnational #Access experiments at Co-UDlabs’ facilities.
UDC will host a team of six researchers from Technische Universität Darmstadt and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in early April. Their TA on «Active Building Materials: Integration of Visible Light-Driven TiO2-based Carbon Nanotubes for Enhanced Degradation of Micropollutants in Rainwater Runoff» will carry out its experimental campaign in Coruña until the end of June 2024. UDC expects to have three more TAs active in 2024, while the consortium as a whole is finalising the set-up of 18 new accesses overall.
It is going to be an intense ride, but the expectations for academic, innovation, and market output are very high! Thank you again to all the partners that are making their facilities available, and to all the institutions worldwide that have taken on the challenge and participated in our initiative!
