The Hydraulics Engineering team at GEAMA has coordinated the H2020 project Co-UDlabs since May 2021. Co-UDlabs offers free-of-charge transnational access to 17 facilities in 7 research institutions across Europe. The project works on cutting-edge joint research activities that include system monitoring method validation, innovative technology for network renovation and sustainability, and standardised methods for hydraulic and water performance measurement.
Over the past few months Co-UDlabs has also intensified its education and training activities:
- On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Co-UDlabs partners at Aalborg University will host a free webinar on µFTIR chemical mapping. Pre-registration is still available at this link
- Co-UDlabs had successful sessions at IWA’s World Water Congress in Copenhagen and at SPN10 in Graz, where partners at INSA Lyon presented the latest iteration of the Urban Drainage Metrology Toolbox, a free webapp which will be soon made open and available
- Co-UDlabs will also host 14 transnational research projects and experiments in its facilities. A new global call for proposals will open in October 2023. You can learn more about the call, the facilities, and even exchange ideas and suggestions on the project’s website.
Co-UDlabs hosted its first Early-Stage Researchers’ Seminar (ESRS) and its first General Assembly in Coruña in June 2022. The next ESRS, which is designed as an opportunity for younger researchers to present their work and receive feedback from peers and senior academics, will be organised at the University of Sheffield in 2024. The next General Assembly will be hosted by INSA Lyon during the next Novatech international conference, in July 2023.
